Juho Knuuttila
I´m 27-year-old alpinist and IFMGA/UIAGM Aspirant Mountain Guide based in Northern Norway. Originally I’m from Imatra, which is a small city located in south eastern Finland.
I´ve been venturing on the mountains since 2007. First trekking in the European mountains and finally starting ice- and rock climbing in 2012. At early age it was obvious that my passion and life lies in the mountains.
In a few years time I moved on from classical mountaineering to climb big technical routes in the Alps. With that experience I have done several expeditions to the greater ranges, Patagonia and Alaska.
In recent years I have started to realise how beautiful mountains we have in Scandinavia. You don’t have to travel far to find an adventure.
Challenging days, whisper of a wind, golden sunsets and cold bivouacs are all good examples why I love an every breath of being on the mountains.
In 2022 I got accepted to SBOs IFGMA mountain guide training scheme and in 2023 I became an aspirant guide. I'm guiding people in Scandinavia and in the Alps.
Eager to
show people the beauty of the mountains and teaching skills how to enjoy being in the nature in a safe way.
This website is all about rough trip reports and stories from the mountains. Hopefully you can find valuable information, but also inspiration to go out and find amazing moments out there.
